Squad-204 is a 2019 GMC Sierra 2500HD 4x4 that is fully equipped for rapid medical response at the advanced life support (ALS) level, this vehicle also carries a a plethora of rope rescue equipment, a Stryker Lucas Device, Stryker Rugged Stairchair, Lifepak-12, and a Genesis battery powered combi-tool for vehicle extrication. Squad-204 is commonly seen with ATV-1 in tow for response to incidents occuring on or near the various ATV trail systems within our area.
Engine-201 is a 2010 Pierce International 7400 Commercial Pumper and is the front line fire suppression apparatus for the Mullens VFD. Engine-201 is equipped with 1,000 gallons of water, a 1250gpm Hale pump, 4 SCBA's, two thermal imaging cameras, deck gun, ground gun, three pre-connected attack lines, 3" supply hose, 5" LDH supply hose, K12 rescue tool, ventilation fans, portable pump, ladders, forceable entry tools, and other various firefighting tools and equipment.
Ambulance-206 is a 2012 Chevrolet Silverado 4x4 that is fully equipped to respond to medical emergencies at the advanced life support (ALS) level. This vehicle responds to 911 emergencies and provides transport for the sick and injured to local emergency rooms for definitive medical care.
Rescue Engine-202 is a 2009 GMC C5E 4x4 rescue-pumper that is the front line rescue truck for the MVFD. Rescue Engine-202 is first out for traffic accidents, vehicle fires, and rescue calls. This truck carries over 1,000ft of life safety rope, a full set up of rope rescue equippment, airbag stabilizers, Genesis hydraulic extrication tools, firefighting foam, vehicle stablization jacks, pre-connect attack lines, supply lines, and medical equipment.
Quint-203 is a 1990 Pierce Arrow 75' ladder truck that is one of only two ladder trucks available in Wyoming County. Ladder 203 is classified as a "quint", meaning that the truck is equipped with both a ladder and water pump, capable of operating without the pumping support of a seperate fire truck. Quint-203 was graciously donated to the MVFD by the Coal City Fire Department in Raleigh County in 2020.
Pumper Tanker-205 is a 1997 International 4900 S&S pumper-tanker and serves as a water tender for the MVFD, carrying 2000 gallons of water. This truck is equipped with a waterous pump capable of pumping up to 1000 gallons of water per minute. 205 also carries a portable water pump, dump tank, and various fire fighting equipment including pike poles, SCBA's, ladders, attack lines, supply lines, forcible entry tools, and other tools for firefighting operations.
ATV-1 is a 2018 Kawasaki Mule Pro-FX 4x4 that is utilized to respond to incidents on and around the various recreational off-road trail systems within the coverage area of MVFD. ATV-1 is equipped with medical equipment to treat a wide range of traumatic injuries while providing transport from the wilderness accident scene to an ambulance. ATV-1 also carries rope rescue equipment, oxygen, automated external defibrillator, spinal immobilization equipment, stokes-basket, and fire extinguishers.
